Naturopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare, which aims to maintain a sense of equilibrium to prevent disease and ill health. Naturopathy adheres to the fundamental principle that the body has the ability to heal itself.  A Naturopath's aim is to find the cause of an ailment and treat the person and not just the disease. They use a number of tools in order to achieve this such as nutritional therapy, functional tests, iridology and stress management techniques. A Naturopath may also prescribe herbal medicine, vitamin and mineral supplements and flower essences to help balance and support your system.

Functional Testing

Individuals occasionally require Functional Testing to determine their health complaint. The tests include hair mineral analysis, food intolerance tests, homocysteine tests, woman's hormonal profile tests and adrenocortex stress profiles.

Iridology

Iridology is a diagnostic tool where the iris of the eye is observed in order to have a greater understanding of an individual's health. It is often used alongside a Naturopathic consultation however it can also form a consultation alone.
