Jahna Clark

Jahna is passionate about helping people to experience a sense of well-being and ease in their body and mind which is why she seeks to teach Yoga and Somatics in a way that nourishes the whole person.  All her offerings are an invitation to sense the body from within.

Her love of Yoga includes a dedicated practice of over 20 years and in 2004 she qualified as a teacher.  A deep exploration of embodied movement led her to study with internationally renowned Yoga teacher Donna Farhi and in 2012 she completed her Advanced Teacher Training.

Complementing this, is Jahna’s training in Hanna Somatic Movement, a gentle neuromuscular approach that is extremely effective in releasing chronic muscle tension, stiffness and pain.  She is a Hanna Somatic Exercise Coach having trained with Martha Peterson, a leading expert in pain relief through movement and is currently a Clinical Somatic Educator - in training with her.

Her studies have also led her to Richard Miller, a Yogic Scholar and Clinical Psychologist who has developed the iRest® Yoga Nidra programme.  iRest is a simple yet profound practice that releases stress and induces deep relaxation.  Jahna is a Level 1 iRest Teacher-in-Training.  As she embodies all that she learns, her passion is to share this with her students.

When she is not on the mat she loves to lead a fairly simple life; going for walks in nature, laughing with loved ones and curling up with a good book in front of the fire.
