Therapies / Treatments

Pascale’s bodywork career started in 1996 with her Holistic Massage tutor at The Churchill Centre in London, Ken Holme, teaching her to let her hands travel and learn on the journey of touch therapy. He showed her how touch flows beyond our layers of skin to reach us on all levels, both physical and emotional. Ever since, Pascale has been a great believer in the positive effects that massage delivers.

Learning Dr Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage technique took Pascale’s touch style to another level in 2002, enabling her to reach out further and help her clients in new ways. Another career highlight was meeting the inspiring Gayle MacDonald in 2010 on her ‘Massage for People Living with Cancer’ course, and Pascale now regularly works with cancer patients as well as those in remission.

In 2016 she qualified in Complete Lymphoedema Therapy and Lymph Taping and Scar Tissue Management. More recently, adding movement in the form of Yin Yoga to her bodywork skills has been a natural evolution. Yin Yoga reaches us on all levels by stretching our connective tissue and undoing layers, physically and emotionally.

20 years of experience in complementary therapies has seen Pascale work with people of many different cultures, ages and different healing processes, for whom she adapts and tailors her approach for a personalised bodywork treatment and experience. Her passion has only grown as she has developed and refined her skills ever further through continuous learning and working with clients and peers.

Testimonial:

‘I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer in my left breast in 2020 and had all the lymph nodes in the left armpit removed during surgery. Despite doing all the recommended arm exercises, I still developed lymphedema in my left arm 3 years after surgery. It was mild but certainly noticeable. It was recommended to me that I should see Pascale King for lymphatic drainage massage. It was the best thing I could have done. Pascale is very kind, calm, patient and excellent at her profession. Within a few sessions, there was a significant difference both in the reduction in swelling in my left arm and also my stress levels. I found our sessions very calming. Pascale also recommended that I obtain a sleeve for my arm. The combination of the massage and the sleeve has made an amazing difference. I am so grateful to Pascale and would have no hesitation in recommending her to others with lymphedema.’ Jackie Edinburgh
