Osteopathy
A safe and natural therapy focussing on the framework of the body, osteopathy assesses the musculoskeletal system to identify areas of weakness, imbalance, or excessive strain in bones, ligaments, muscles and connective tissues. It is these potential problem points which determine how well the body operates, and therefore have an influence on general health. As such, osteopathic treatment can also positively influence body systems including lymphatic function, blood and nerve supply, and the functioning of internal organs.
Osteopaths are best known for the successful treatment of back problems and joint complaints, but osteopathy can address myriad other conditions in all age groups from newborn babies adjusting to life outside of the womb to older children experiencing growing pains, active types with sporting injuries to postural problems in office workers, to arthritic joints in the older age groups.
Our team of four osteopaths provide appointments from Monday to Saturday, and are all registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Visit the Mulberry osteopath website for further information.

The osteopath will take a full case history, including details of your present problems and past medical history. They will then carry out a physical examination to help determine the underlying problem, and give an assessment of what the most appropriate treatment regime will be.

We recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing which will allow the practitioner to easily access the affected area, as well as shoes which are easily removed. Osteopathic treatment may be backed up with self-help approaches such as exercise, hydrotherapy techniques, and postural advice. Further information for new patients can be found on the Mulberry Osteopaths website.
