Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy which does not look to diagnose or treat specific conditions. Instead, it offers an individualised treatment that aims to encourage the systems and organs of the body to function optimally. Some people have reflexology to relax, and many health care professionals recognise reflexology as a well-established, respected and individualistic therapy.

In your initial consultation, your therapist will discuss your medical history, lifestyle and individual needs in order to focus on these during your treatment. Reflexology uses a unique rhythmic technique to apply pressure to reflex areas on the feet or hands. Appointments generally last 60 minutes although 75 minute appointments are available.
-
There are very few contraindications to reflexology as it is a gentle, non-invasive therapy. However therapists do not offer reflexology in the first trimester of pregnancy and may not proceed with treatment if you have certain skin conditions.

The frequency of treatments depends on individual needs, but often two or three treatments are recommended in close succession to stimulate a response in your body, particularly if you suffer from a chronic condition.
